1 Who We Are
Fuel to Lose ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company") is the developer and operator of the Fuel to Lose mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information in connection with your use of our App and any related services.
By downloading or using the Fuel to Lose App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2 Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the App, and limited technical information about your device.
2.1 Information You Provide
Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
Profile & Health Data: Age, sex, height, weight, fitness goals (fat loss, muscle building, or recovery), activity level, and dietary preferences.
Body Measurements: Optional logged measurements such as waist, hips, chest, arms, and thighs for progress tracking.
Injury Information: If you use the Injury & Recovery Program feature, you may optionally provide information about injured or post-surgery body areas to receive a tailored program.
Food & Nutrition Logs: Meals, food items, portion sizes, recipes, and daily nutrition entries you input manually or via scanning.
Progress Photos: If you voluntarily upload photos to track your physical transformation (stored securely and never shared).
Communications: Messages you send to our support team via email.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version.
Usage Data: Features used, screens viewed, session duration, and in-app interactions, used to improve the App experience.
Push Notification Tokens: If you grant permission, a device token used to deliver push notifications (e.g., meal reminders, workout prompts).
Camera Data: When you use the AI Meal Scanner or Barcode Scanner, images are captured and processed. Meal scanner images are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely for food identification purposes and are not stored beyond the immediate processing request.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
Apple Sign-In: If you sign in with Apple, we may receive a unique identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address from Apple.
Payment Information: All subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your credit card or payment details. We receive only transaction and subscription status information from Apple and RevenueCat (our subscription management provider).
3 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Providing and personalizing the App: To create your account, generate personalized workout and nutrition plans, and deliver a tailored experience based on your goals and health data.
Food and Nutrition Analysis: To process meal scanner images through our AI provider to identify foods and calculate macronutrient information.
Subscription Management: To manage your subscription, free trial status, and in-app purchases in conjunction with Apple and RevenueCat.
Push Notifications: To send you reminders, workout prompts, hydration alerts, and motivational messages (only if you have granted notification permissions).
Progress Tracking: To display your historical data, weight trends, and body measurement charts within the App.
App Improvement: To analyze aggregated, anonymized usage data to identify bugs, improve features, and enhance the overall user experience.
Customer Support: To respond to inquiries and resolve issues you contact us about.
Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
We do not use your health or body data for advertising purposes. We do not create advertising profiles from your personal data.
4 Third-Party Service Providers
We work with a limited number of trusted third-party service providers to operate the App. Each provider is bound by data processing agreements and is only permitted to use your data to perform services on our behalf.
Supabase
Our backend database and authentication provider. Your account data, food logs, workout records, progress data, and app preferences are stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase is SOC 2 compliant.

Anthropic AI
When you use the AI Meal Scanner feature, images of your food are transmitted to Anthropic's API for real-time food identification and macro estimation. Images are processed transiently and are not stored by Anthropic beyond the scope of the immediate API request, in accordance with Anthropic's API data handling policies. No personal identifying information is sent with these images.

Apple Inc.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple handles all payment processing for subscriptions and may collect app analytics if you have opted into sharing analytics with developers. Sign in with Apple is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

5 Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers: As described in Section 4, with third-party providers who assist us in operating the App under strict contractual obligations.
Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or government agency).
Safety: When we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm, fraud, or illegal activity, or to protect the rights and safety of Fuel to Lose, our users, or the public.

With Your Consent: In any other case, only with your explicit prior consent.
6 Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide you with the App's services. Specifically:
Account data is retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period after account deletion to comply with legal obligations.
Food logs, workout logs, and progress data are retained while your account is active. You may delete individual entries at any time within the App.
Meal scanner images are not stored. They are transmitted to Anthropic's API for real-time processing and are not retained by us or Anthropic after the response is delivered.
Progress photos you upload are stored securely on our servers and can be deleted by you at any time within the App.
Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
7 Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. Regardless of location, we honor the following requests:
Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: You can update or correct your profile information directly within the App's settings at any time.
Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data. To do so, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the App, or email us at [email protected].
Portability: You may request an export of your data in a machine-readable format by contacting our support team.
Opt-Out of Notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time through your iPhone's Settings → Notifications → Fuel to Lose.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR including the right of access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object. 8 Children's Privacy
Fuel to Lose is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. We will take prompt steps to delete such information from our systems.
Users between the ages of 13 and 17 should use the App only with parental consent and supervision. The health and fitness information in this App is intended for general wellness purposes and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice.
9 Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
Encryption of data in transit using TLS (HTTPS).
Encryption of sensitive data at rest within our database infrastructure (Supabase).
Access controls limiting which team members can access user data.
Regular security reviews of our infrastructure and code.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
10 International Data Transfers
Fuel to Lose is operated in the United States. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country.
For users in the EEA or UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including relying on Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries as described in this policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will:
